Frequently Asked Questions

Why do I paint pet portraits?

As a pet owner and animal lover, it brings me so much joy to have a pet’s likeness and personality come through in my artwork. I love seeing the reaction of my customer’s faces when they look at a painting I have created and immediately recognize their pet’s personality and essence. This is especially important to me when I create memorial portraits for pets that have since passed away. It is hard to lose a pet because they become family for many. So being able to create something tangible that someone can see and have for many, many years to keep that pet’s memory alive is amazing.

How do I order a pet portrait?

You can inquire about a pet portrait commission through my Pet Portrait Commission page or my Contact page.

What kind of pet portraits do you paint?

I paint primarily bust and headshot portraits of dogs, cats, horses, and rabbits. I do full-bodies for custom commissions, and am very open to painting other animals as well!

Where did you learn to paint/draw?

I learned a lot through self-learning with books, YouTube videos, blogs, etc. But I also learned a lot of my skills from independent studies with artists during high school and through talking and painting with other artists! I learn a lot by watching, experimenting, and talking with other people.

Where do you sell your original work?

I currently only sell my work locally or online through my website, however, I do offer flash sales or studio cleanout sales through my Instagram and Facebook! That is a great way to get deals on paintings I usually don’t advertise.
